Which of the following statements are true for the minimum deviation position of a prism?
(A). The angle of the prism is twice the angle of refraction.
(B). The refracted ray is parallel to the base of prism.
(C). The angle of incidence is equal to the angle of emergence.
(D). The angle of deviation is half the angle of a prism.
Choose the correct answer from the options given below:
- A (A), (B) and (D) only
- B (A), (B) and (C) only
- C (A), (B), (C) and (D)
- D (B), (C) and (D) only
Answer & Solution
Correct Answer
(B) (A), (B) and (C) only
Step-by-step Solution
Detailed explanation
\(i = e\) Refracted ray is parallel to the base of prism. \(A = 2r\) Statements (A), (B), and (C) are true. The correct choice is (A), (B) and (C) only.

Certain types of leukocytes (WBC) of our body like polymorpho-nuclear leukocytes (PMNL-neutrophils) and monocytes and natural killer (type of lymphocytes) in the blood as well as macrophages in tissues can phagocytose and destroy microbes. The use of drugs like anti-histamine, adrenalin and steroids quickly reduce the symptoms of allergy. Heroin, commonly called smack is chemically diacetylmorphine which is a white, odourless, bitter crystalline compound. This is obtained by acetylation of morphine. Different species of Plasmodium (P. vivax, P. malaria and P. falciparum) are responsible for different types of malaria. Of these, malignant malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum is the most serious one and can even be fatal.
Which one of the following is not the cellular barrier of innate immunity?CUET 2023 Medium - Read the following passage carefully and answer the given questions.
Immune System in the Body
The human immune system consists of lymphoid organs, tissues, cells and soluble molecules like antibodies. The primary lymphoid organs are bone marrow and thymus where immature lymphocytes differentiate into antigen-sensitive lymphocytes. After maturation the lymphocytes migrate to secondary lymphoid organs like spleen, lymph nodes, tonsils, Peyer's patches of small intestine and appendix. The secondary lymphoid organs provide the sites for interaction of lymphocytes with the antigen, which then proliferate to become effector cells. The bone marrow is the main lymphoid organ where all blood cells including lymphocytes are produced. Each antibody molecule has four peptide chains, two small called light chains and two longer called heavy chains. Hence, an antibody is represented as H2L2. Different types of antibodies are produced in our body. IgA, IgM, IgE, IgG are some of them. Techniques like radiography (use of X-rays), CT (computed tomography) and MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) are very useful to detect cancers of the internal organs.
