- Which of the following statements is/ are correct
(A) For an ideal solution, the enthalpy and volume of mixing of pure components are zero.
(B) The inter-molecular attractive forces between A-A and B-B are greater than those between A-B for an ideal binary solution.
(C) The inter-molecular attractive forces between A-A and B-B are of the same order as those between A-B for an ideal binary solution

(A). The order of a reaction is an experimental quantity.
(B). Order can be zero.

Choose the correct answer from the options given below :CUET 2025 Easy - The properties which depend on the number of solute particles irrespective of their nature relative to the total number of particles in the solution are called colligative properties. These are relative lowering of vapour pressure of the solvent, depression of freesing point of the solvent, elevation of boiling point of the solvent and osmotic pressure of the solution. All of these properties help in calculating the observed molar mass of the solute.
Determination of osmotic pressure is considered best for the determination of molecular mass of the solute.
A solution of \(12.5\) g of an unknown solute in \(170\) g of water gave a boiling point elevation of 0.63 K .
\(k_b\) for water is \(0.53 K kg mol ^{-1}\).

In zwitter ionic form, amino acids show amphoteric behaviour as they react both with acids and bases.
Except glycine, all other naturally occurring \(\alpha\) - amino acids are optically active, since the \(\alpha\) -carbon atom is asymmetric. These exist both in 'D' and 'L' forms. Most naturally occurring amino acids have L-configuration. L-Aminoacids are represented by writing the \(-NH_2\) group on left hand side.

The speed at which a chemical reaction takes place is called the rate of reaction. The rate of reaction depends on various factors like concentration of the reactants, temperature, etc. The relation between the rate of reaction and the concentration of reacting species is represented by the equation r = k[A]x[B]y, where x and y are the order of the reaction with respect to the reactants A and B, respectively. The overall order of the reaction is x + y. The rate of reaction can also be increased by the use of a catalyst which provides an alternate pathway of lower activation energy. It increases the rate of forward and backward reaction to an equal extent. It does not alter the Gibbs energy of the reaction.
If the rate of reaction becomes twenty-seven times upon increasing the concentration of reactant by three times, the order of this reaction isCUET 2025 Hard - Arrange the following events of human embryo development in a correct sequence:
